Totally stealing this idea from a blog i love

There is a blog that i read often (religiously) and you can find it here: www.thedaybookblog.com
She is a young girl that has a baby around T's age and she is just darling i tell you. Well one thing she does weekly is awkward and awesome thursday posts. I want to do a modification of this and have Thankful Thursdays. Not that i don't want to add awkward things, but I can't copy her idea 100%. So here is my first Thankful Thursday list.

* Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift. This song is catchy and upbeat, exactly what is needed at the moment to lift tired and low spirits. I have to admit that I love T. Swift and if she had been around during my hard high school/ college years-I know that she would have helped me through some tough times....listen to it here:

*another BEAUTIFUL DAY...high of 72, going to take a walk during M's theater class today
*R is in school for 2 1/2 hours. quiet. house.awesome.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning....

The hubs is out of town, and this morning was a mad dash as usual... Lunches, babies crying, etc. it was also a chilly 40 when I hopped in the car to drop M off school. Brrr, and the high tomorrow s 80.. Guess this is our new normal. On the bright side, R is in her first full day of preschool..9 to 1130.. Woohoo and the house is quiet. Nice, finally made it here a month after my friends at home!  We are still getting bids on painting and the little closet remodel and I can't wait to begin. Keeping fingers crossed that it will be within the month.

Weather.

So one thing that I have noticed being here in Iowa is that the weather changes quickly and rapidly. Case in point today. Woke up to sunny and 68--now, raining and 50's. Tomorrow, who knows, but I have witnessed the weather going from 85 to 65 the next day and for this Southern gal....that is changing seasons in a day. So, here is a glimpse of our weeks highs and lows...
stay warm, stay dry and stay cool :-)

Little Sprouts Turn 6.

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY you two...
Can't say enough how sad that we are not there to help celebrate. I heard that you had a good time yesterday though! Six years is awfully big and we can not wait to see you in a few short weeks. Hugs and Love and Kisses...xoxoxo

Quiet...

Jeff is on his way home, May is at choir, rose is watching tv and T is asleep. Sounds like we are in Charleston, but alas, we are not. Our life has taken the same path that we would be on if we were home, just a different setting. Nothing too grand in this post- just tired from a long day with three young children, money worries, (why is  it never enough) , and just the general sense of wishing I was in a place more familiar.
Last night, as we were heading to sleep, May started to cry because she missed her friends  back home. Rose was still awake ( of course) and we began singing her "You a my sunshine" and " Jesus loves me". That seemed to comfort her, but the sweetest part was that Rose held Mays head in her hands while she sang and was kissing her forehead too. Absolutely precious, and loved being there to see the love between the two sisters.....
